Marco Mengarelli
Research Areas His research topic is simplified strategies and approaches for LCA studies, targeting small and medium enterprises and applied to the household appliances product category. He has also worked on thermal simulation of Li-Ion battery for automotive applications. Capsule Bio Marco Mengarelli is a PhD student since 2012 at the DIISM of Università Politecnica delle Marche. His PhD research topic is “Development of a simplified LCA tool for small and medium enterprises” in collaboration with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development). He is currently working on a European Project called “G.EN.ESI: Green Engineering Design and Product Sustainability Group” from the 7th Framework Program. He is also collaborating with commercial partners which are involved in Electric Vehicles and Battery manufacturing. He gain his Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering in October 2012 with thesis with entitled “Virtual Prototyping of a Li-Ion battery to evaluate the heat generation along the use within an Electric Vehicle”.
