RELIABILITY ENGINEERING AND SYSTEM SAFETY OF PRODUCTION PLANTS

Description

The research activity was dedicated to the development and application of models and methods for the planning, design and management of maintenance in industrial production systems and services, with significant implications in the management of productivity, quality and safety. Some key words of this research activity are: reliability engineering, reliability evaluation, availability, maintainability, Risk Management, safety, quality, advanced models in reliability, Markov Chain, Monte Carlo simulation, Reliability Block Diagram – RBD, Fault Tree Analysis FTA, Warranty models, Spare Parts models, Predictive Maintenance etc.. A large space is dedicated to the discussion and comparison of numerous cost (cost-based) and risk models for preventive maintenance and inspection of complex production systems.
