Paolo Chiariotti
Research Areas Innovative measurement systems and sensors, with particular focus on vibro-acoustic problems. Research interests include non-contact vibration measurements for structural dynamic and NDT, acoustic measurements and simulation, signal processing, machine condition monitoring and software development. Part of this research activity has been carried out within several European projects. Capsule Bio Paolo Chiariotti is a Post-Doctoral researcher within the Mechanical and Thermal Measurement Group at DIISM. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) from Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2007 with a thesis entitled “Progettazione funzionale di un sistema antivibrante per la riduzione dell’incertezza di misura nella tecnica LDV: applicazione all’interno di cabina di aereo in volo”. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2011 with a thesis entitled “Noise Source Identification: an innovative approach of the Selective Intensity method”.
