Hereafter some examples of research activity performed on Laser Doppler Anemometry is shown.
Laser Doppler anemometer (LDA) measurements on a rotating fan
Laser Doppler anemometer (LDA) measurements inside a car cabin
LDA measurements on a refrigerated display case

Non-contact measurement techniques conventionally used in other measurement fields have been exploited also in fluid dynamics. For example laser Doppler interferometry applied for solid vibration measurements has been used for the acoustic characterization of fluid flows giving rise to a new technology called tomographic Doppler laser interferometry.
