Description

This line of research deals with aspects related to the planning, design, management, and optimization of industrial logistics systems and their components. The main research items related to this area are: development of solutions based on lean production; integrated design and management of the production logistics chain (supply chain management); supply management; demand forecasting and inventory management; product packaging and internal goods handling (materials handling); product storage and order preparation; design and management of distribution networks; external goods transport systems; reverse logistics; logistics information systems; organization and control of logistics systems; systems for tracking materials in logistics and production chains; after-sales service management.
