Mechanical and microstructural characterization of metallic materials

Description

The research croup investigates the hot working response of metallic materials and the evolution of the microstructure during deformation at high temperature. Hot and warm torsion tests are used to simulate the typical high-temperature deformation processes (rolling, extrusion etc). The mechanical response of the investigated materials are then related to the microstructural features and to their evolution during straining.

Working group
