Research Areas

The research activities refer to the field of design methods and tools, with particular interest in human-machine interaction and Human Factors analysis, Human-Centred design and Experience Design and the application of virtual reality technologies to support the development of products, processes and services and improve the experience with the product. The main research topics can be summarized as follows:  

  • Human-Centred Design, Human Factors and Ergonomics;  
  • Virtual Prototyping technologies and creation of immersive and interactive virtual environments;  
  • Usability and Product Experience assessemnt in physical, virtual and hybrid environments, 
  • Digitization and virtualization of product and process in the context of Factory 4.0 for the design of products, processes and services;  
  • Method and tools for the evaluation of Customer experience “in the wild”. 
Capsule Bio

She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Univeristà Politecnica delle Marhce in December 2006 and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering cum laude in February 2010. Since 2010 she has been carrying out constant research activities in the field of Methos and Tools for Engineering Design and continued her studies at Università Politecnica delle Marche, where she received the Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences, curriculum in “Mechanical Engineering and Management” in 2016. Her research activities focus on Human-Centered Design, Human Factors & Ergonomics, Virtual reality technologies, Experience Design and integrated approaches to exploit the value of Big data for servitization in the context of Industy 4.0.
