Capsule Bio

His research activity concerns the development of methods and tools for the assessment of social sustainability in the context of Smart Factory and Industry 4.0. The aim of the research doctorate is to formalize a methodology that allows companies to carry out a social sustainability analysis. The goal is to achieve the trade-off between productivity and operator wellbeing (through assessments of physical, cognitive, organizational and environmental ergonomics).

Biografia

Martina Scafà was born in San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), Italy, in May 1991. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2013, from Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna (Italy) and her master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2016, from Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna (Italy). She started the Ph.D. course in Industrial Engineering at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (DIISM) at Università Politecnica delle Marche in November 2016. Her research interests include Ergonomics, Social Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability and Product-Service Systems.
