Research Areas

Le aree di ricerca in cui si è principalmente svolta l’attività scientifica sono le seguenti:

T1. Ambienti di Realtà Virtuale (VR) per l’Industrial Design: studio, sviluppo e valutazione di strumenti VR per la valutazione di prodotto (usability test) e attività di Design Review e studio di tecnologie avanzate per interfacce utente interattive nell’ambito della Human-Machine Interaction (HMI).

T2. Strumenti di Collaborative Design (co-design) a supporto dell’Extended Enterprise (EE): studio, sviluppo e valutazione di strumenti di co-design per contesti multidisciplinari di collaborazione.

T3. Strumenti di supporto al Life Cycle Design rivolti allo sviluppo sia di Prodotti sia di Servizi.

Tali tematiche sono state approfondite anche grazie alla partecipazione a progetti di ricerca citati in precedenza.  Le attività di ricerca svolte finora si riferiscono principalmente a:

·       Studio e applicazione di metodologie e strumenti di supporto alla progettazione e alla collaborazione aziendale: tecniche di formalizzazione di processo ed analisi funzionali di prodotto-processo, formalizzazione della conoscenza e sistemi di gestione delle informazioni di tipo knowledge-based;

·       Studio e applicazione di tecniche di valutazione ed ottimizzazione dell’interazione uomo-prodotto, nell’ambito dell’Interaction Design, con particolare interesse verso le scienze cognitive, l’Emotional Design e le modalità di percezione ed interazione, test di usabilità, identificazione dei requisiti di processo, analisi dei sistemi esistenti e metodi di benchmarking per la definizione di sistemi ottimali;

·       Studio, definizione e sperimentazione di strumenti di progettazione collaborativa e metodi di valutazione delle performance raggiunte in attività di co-design, con particolare attenzione ai momenti di design review, sia di tipo estetico sia di tipo tecnico, e ai contesti collaborativi aziendali;

·       Analisi e valutazione di strumenti di co-design nei contesti di azienda estesa, che implicano il coinvolgimento di numerose imprese e comprendono la design e la supply-chain, analisi delle problematiche di collaborazione di tipo trasversale ed orizzontale, formalizzazione e valutazione della collaborazione intra e inter-aziendale, identificazione dei requisiti di processo, analisi dei sistemi esistenti e metodi di benchmarking per la definizione di sistemi ottimali;

·       Definizione e sviluppo di nuovi sistemi e piattaforme di co-design per supportare le attività di collaborazione e design review all’interno dell’azienda estesa;

·       Definizione e sviluppo di tecnologie innovative per la virtualizzazione di prodotto e il supporto all’interazione uomo-prodotto durante la valutazione su prototipo virtuale, sia in fase di definizione (design review) sia in fase di prova cliente e test con utenti (customer satisfaction);

·       Analisi dei processi di “servitizzazione” in realtà industriali complesse, ossia di passaggio da un ciclo di sviluppo centrato sul prodotto ad un ciclo di sviluppo centrato sul servizio, e studio di metodi e strumenti per la progettazione di soluzioni Product+Service e Product2Service.

Tali attività sono state svolte anche in collaborazione con gruppi di ricerca internazionali, quali:

 

–       “Collaborative Business in Enterprise networks” del “Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH” presso Universität Bremen (BIBA), Germany, con il quale si stanno svolgendo delle attività di ricerca congiunte nell’ambito del progetto Europeo “MSEE: Manufacturing SErvice Ecosystem”, finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del 7° Programma Quadro (Virtual Factories and Enterprises – FP7 FoF-ICT-2011.7.3) sopra citato. Tale collaborazione ha generato al momento una pubblicazione scientifica “Wiesner S, Peruzzini M, Doumeingts G, Thoben KD (2012). Requirements Engineering for Servitization. In: Proc. The 4th CIRP Conference on Industrial Product Service Systems”.

–       INTEROP-VLab “International Virtual Laboratory for Enterprise Interoperability” con sede a Brussels, Belgium, con il quale si stanno svolgendo delle attività di ricerca congiunte nell’ambito del progetto Europeo “MSEE: Manufacturing SErvice Ecosystem”, finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del 7° Programma Quadro (Virtual Factories and Enterprises – FP7 FoF-ICT-2011.7.3) sopra citato.  Tale collaborazione ha generato al momento una pubblicazione scientifica “Wiesner S, Peruzzini M, Doumeingts G, Thoben KD (2012). Requirements Engineering for Servitization. In: Proc. The 4th CIRP Conference on Industrial Product Service Systems”.

–       Department of Precision Engineering della University of Tokyo, in particolare nella persona di Harald. E. Otto, con il quale si è svolto un lavoro scientifico. Tale collaborazione ha generato una pubblicazione scientifica “Mengoni M, Peruzzini M, Otto HE, Mandorli F (2011). SLCA to Support Evaluation of Environmental Conscious Production Process Alternatives: An Industrial Case. In: Proceedings of Eco Design 2011, 7th International Symposium on Environmentally Conscious Design and Inverse Manufacturing.”

Josip Stjepandic (PROSTEP AG, Germany) e Nel Wognum (Wageningen University, The Netherlands) per la preparazione del volume “Concurrent Engineering in the 21st century. Foundations, developments and challenges” che sarà pubblicato da Springer a inizio 2014. In particolare si sta seguendo la stesura del Capitolo relativo al tema Collaborative Engineering.

Capsule Bio

Dottore in Ingegneria Meccanica, conseguito il 17/07/2005 presso l’Università Politecnica delle Marche, con votazione 110/110 e lode, con una tesi dal titolo “Il problema del controllo dello shimmy nei carrelli aeronautici” condotta presso il dipartimento di Meccanica, in collaborazione con l’azienda Mecaer S.p.A. di Borgomanero (NO).

Dottore Magistrale in Ingegneria Meccanica Industriale, conseguito il 16/10/2007 presso l’Università Politecnica delle Marche, con votazione 110/110 e lode con una tesi dal titolo “Definizione di protocolli di usabilità per interfacce uomo-macchina: applicazione a sistemi di Realtà Virtuale per la valutazione ergonomica di elettrodomestici”, condotta in collaborazione con l’azienda Indesit Company S.p.A. di Fabriano (AN) e il Politecnico di Milano, Dipartimento di Meccanica.

Abilitazione all’esercizio della professione di ingegnere conseguita presso l’Università Politecnica delle Marche nel Gennaio 2008.

Dottore di Ricerca in Scienze dell’Ingegneria nel settore disciplinare ING/IND-15, curriculum Ingegneria  Meccanica e Gestionale, presso l’Università Politecnica delle Marche, con una tesi dal titolo “Innovative methods and advanced digital technologies to support product design in collaborative environments”, conseguito in data 27/01/2011.

Attualmente Assegnista di Ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale e Scienze Matematiche, Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche nel settore scientifico disciplinare dell’ING/IND-15 (Disegno e Metodi dell’Ingegneria Industriale) da Maggio 2014 a Aprile 2015, svolgendo attività sul tema: “STUDIO E PROGETTAZIONE DI SISTEMI DI INTERAZIONE UOMO-AMBIENTE AD ELEVATA ADATTIVITÀ E DI SOLUZIONI PER LA LORO PROTOTIPAZIONE VIRTUALE”.

Socio fondatore di Hyperlean S.r.l., spin-off dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, costituito nel Dicembre 2010 (www.hyperlean.eu), che svolge parte attiva nelle sue attività ricoprendo un ruolo tecnico-commerciale.

Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alla Seconda Fascia del Settore Concorsuale 09/A3 – Progettazione industriale, costruzioni meccaniche e metallurgia (decreto MIUR N. 161 28/01/2013), conseguita in data 14/10/2014 con validità fino al 14/10/2020.

Partecipazione a oltre 30 progetti di ricerca scientifica, di carattere regionale, nazionale o Europeo, come referente del gruppo di ricerca UNIVPM o come coordinatore delle unità operative per conto di alcune aziende partner. Gli incarichi più recenti sono:

–       Responsabile scientifico del progetto “HicMO – Hic Manebimus Optime” finanziato da INRCA e Regione Marche secondo il protocollo INRCA 23/01/2013 – decreto INRCA Det 381/DGEN del 20.12.2012 e successivo D.D.S. 3/IAF del 17/01/2013 del Servizio Industria e Artigianato, Istruzione e Lavoro della Regione Marche.

–       Coordinatore dell’Unità Operativa Indesit Company S.p.A. nel progetto Europeo “MSEE: Manufacturing SErvice Ecosystem” finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del 7° Programma Quadro: Factory of the Future – FP7 FoF-ICT-2011.7.3.

–       Coordinatore scientifico del progetto “TAALM – Tecnologia innovativa per l’Ambient Assisted Living Manufacturing”, finanziato dalla Regione Marche nell’ambito del bando POR MARCHE FESR 2007-2013 – INTERVENTO 1.1.1.04.02 “PROMOZIONE DELLA RICERCA INDUSTRIALE E DELLO SVILUPPO SPERIMENTALE IN FILIERE TECNOLOGICO-PRODUTTIVE” – BANDO 2012.

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa Indesit Company S.p.A. nel progetto Europeo “FLEXINET – Intelligent Systems configuration Services for Flexible Dynamic Global Production Networks” finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del 7° Programma Quadro: Factory of the Future FoF-NMP-2013-9.

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa UNIVPM nel progetto “Design for All – SW Interoperability and advanced Human Machine Interfaces in design for Ambient Assisted Living”. Il progetto è svolto da 8 soggetti tra aziende ed enti di ricerca e coordinato da CNR ITIA. Il progetto è finanziato dal MIUR nell’ambito del Cluster Tecnologico Nazionale ‘Tecnologie per gli Ambienti di Vita’, in convergenza con gli obiettivi di Horizon 2020, con Decreto Direttoriale 30 maggio 2012 n. 257. Ruolo ricoperto: membro Unità Operativa Università Politecnica delle Marche.

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa UNIVPM nel progetto “G.EN.ESI – An Integrated Software Platform for Green Engineering Design and Product Sustainability” svolto da un partenariato di 8 enti tra imprese e centri di ricerca, provenienti da 5 diversi paesi. Il progetto è finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del 7° Programma Quadro: Factory of the Future FoF-NMP-2011-SMALL-5 “Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies”. Ruolo ricoperto: Membro dell’Unità Operativa dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, che riveste il ruolo di Coordinatore del progetto.

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa UNIVPM nel progetto “DESIGNET: LA NUOVA FRONTIERA DEL CONTRACT DESIGN MADE IN ITALY”, finanziato dal Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico a valere sul bando Industria 2015 – Nuove Tecnologie del Made in Italy -, coinvolge 17 aziende, di cui 7 Grandi Imprese (Berloni, IGuzzini, Teuco, Indesit Company, Gibam Shops, Idea Institute) (durata: gennaio 2011 – dicembre 2013). Ruolo ricoperto: Membro dell’Unità Operativa dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, Responsabile scientifico del progetto.

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa UNIVPM nel progetto e Referente tecnico per la filiera del wellness del consorzio CO-ENV, costituitosi a maggio del 2007 e comprendente tra i suoi associati quattro tra le aziende più rappresentative del panorama industriale marchigiano: Teuco Guzzini, Indesit Company, Biesse, FIME del Gruppo Elica. Il consorzio svolge e promuove attività di ricerca per migliorare il grado di innovazione e crescita economica delle forze produttive del territorio della Regione Marche (www.coenv.it).

–       Membro dell’Unità Operativa UNIVPM nel progetto “EROD – ENERGY REDUCTION ORIENTED DESIGN”, finanziato dal Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico a valere su bando Industria 2015 EFFICIENZA ENERGETICA; coinvolge 15 aziende tra le quali NAUTES, BIESSE, INDESIT , ELICA , JOBS , ASKOLL (durata: maggio 2009 – aprile 2012). Ruolo ricoperto: Membro dell’Unità Operativa dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, Coordinatore del progetto.
