Position

PhD student – ING-IND/11 (2016 – 2019)

Tutor

Prof. Renato Ricci

Research areas
  • Compressed Air Energy Storage System

The aim of the project is to develop new UAV systems devoted to maintenance of renewable energy power plants and inspection operations in severe conditions. The project embraces all the research activities in which an UAV will be the operative platform for measurement equipment.

The research activity regards the experimental test of low-noise aerodynamic devices for wind turbine blades. The goal is to provide technical guide lines for the proper design and disposal of such devices.

  • Project A.D.E.L.E.

The project aims at the technical and economical evaluation of a hybrid power plant made up of a small wind turbine and a pneumatic energy storage system. The application of such a system could be in small grids of off-grid operation.
