Research Areas

The PhD is co-financed by a local no profit organization, Fondazione Caritas Senigallia Onlus. The research activities focus on humanitarian operations in case of emergency situations, in particular on the role of civil society organizations, with the aim of analysing and optimizing their performances into emergency operations, by applying re-engineering process technique. The research addresses two challenging issues of the humanitarian operations in case of emergency situation, i.e. the convergence and management of spontaneous volunteers and of donations, both solicited and unsolicited.

Capsule Bio

I was born in Fano in 1986. I graduated in Political Sciences with a Bachelor Degree at the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna and a Master degree at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan. Afterwards my engagement into the third sector has started, firstly in the Balkan area working for Italian and local non-governmental organizations. Since 2015, I have moved back to my home Region and I’ve started my working collaboration with the local no profit organization that is also a cofounder of my on-going PhD.
