Biography
Andrea Bartolini was born in Tolentino (MC) on the 11/08/1989. In July 2008 he obtained his scientific high school diploma 77/100 from the Liceo Scientifico F.Filelfo di Tolentino. In 2012 he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche with a score of 101/110. In 2015 he obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche with a score of 109/110 defending a thesis titled “Optimal design of a steel structure by means of optimization algorithms”, undertaken in collaboration with Nuovo Pignone Spa in Firenze. In March 2020 he obtained a PhD in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Energy Systems Engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche defending a thesis titles “Novel modelling approaches for the design of distributed multi-energy systems”. During the PhD he visited different foreign research institutions such as the Energy Research Institute at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and the Department of Planning of the Aalborg Universitet (Denmark). From November 2019 he is a research fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of the Università Politecnica delle Marche, conducting research on topics related the design and operation of urban multi-energy systems.
