Research Areas

Her research activity is mainly focused on the study and development of methods and tools for:

  • The design of highly usable products and services able to satisfy user needs (User-centered design), exploiting the intelligent management of data coming from the IoT world
  • Evaluation and improvement of physical, cognitive, organizational and environmental ergonomics in order to increase the wellbeing and productivity of workers (Human Centered Manufacturing)
  • Identification and reduction of waste in the production process (e.g. Energy Value Stream Mapping)
  • Traceability and sustainability of the supply chain and the design of eco-sustainable products
Capsule Bio

Alessandra Papetti is a PostDoctoral researcher within the Design Tools & Methods group at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of Università Politecnica delle Marche. She graduated in Management Engineering in 2011 and she received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Management Engineering at the same university. Her topics of research are: User Centered Design, sustainable manufacturing, Human-Machine Interaction and environmental sustainability.
