PositionPhD Student – ING-IND/12 (XXXIIV year, 2018 – 2021) TutorProf. Paolo Castellini Research AreasHis research activity is focused on vibration and acoustics. Particularly, his target is the use of innovative materials made by additive manufacturing (especially machanical and acoustic metamaterials) to design solutions for the improvement of existing measurement instruments. Capsule BioAlessandro Annessi received his Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marche Polytechnic University in March 2018. On his thesis work, titled “Fault diagnostics in rotating machinery: damage detection of rolling element bearings”, he evaluated the state of art and innovative techniques for rolling element bearing diagnostics. After being graduated, he collaborated with the Group of Mechanical and Thermal Measurement working on Laser Doppler vibrometry for mechanical component diagnostics and cultural heritage conservation. Nowadays he is studying in deep wave propagation and acoustics.
